Buddhism
A Buddha is someone who is "Awakened" and become One with
God-The-Father within himself. He has reached the ultimate state of perfection. Since the beginning of time, there are many, many Buddhas
who came to Earth to teach human the True Way.
The best known Buddha was Siddharta Gautama born in India in 528
b.c. He reached enlightenment through meditation. He teached that all pain and suffering
are caused by selfish desires and self-centered actions. He preached love and compassion
and went on to the Eightfold Path of liberation from misery, which can be summed up as:
right understanding, right purpose, right speech, right conduct, right work, right effort,
right alertness and right concentration.
Twenty five centuries ago, when the people of India
used to worship so
many divinities, Gautama Buddha (Phật Thích Ca) came to the world in this
country to teach that people don't need to look anywhere outside themselves
to find God. By living a life of Compassion and Virtue based on Love, by
keeping the mind quiet through meditation, everyone should be able to reach
enlightment like Gautama. For Buddha is Within everyone. We just need to
keep our mind empty so we could hear him talk to us. The Teacher is Within.
Don't look for Buddha in a temple or in a statue, however beautiful and majestic
it could be. Because every human beings is Divine by nature. Buddha is Within each
of us. He is very close to each of us. He is not somewhere outside us. He
or she who has arrived at the Truth is a Buddha.

Buddha does not reside
somewhere far away on Heaven
Buddha is the Divine Light
within every human beings

The Sayings of Buddha:
Better than worshipping gods is obedience to the laws
of righteousness.
The "Perfect One" does not seek salvation in
austerities, but nether does he for that reason indulge in wordly pleasures, nor live in
abundance. He has found the Middle Path.
The Truth remains hidden from him who is in the bondage
of hate and desire. Nirvana remains incomprehensible to the vulgar whose minds are
beclouded with wordly interests.
Lead others, not by violence, but by righteousness and
equity.
The doctrine of the conquest of
self is not taught to destroy the souls of men, but to preserve them. He who has
conquered self is more fit to Live, to be successful, and to gain victories than he who is
the slave of self. He whose mind is free from the illusion of self, will stand and not
fall in that battle of life. He whose intentions are righteousness and justice, will meet
with no failure, but be successful in his enterprises and his success will endure. He who
harbors in his heart love of Truth will live and not die, for he has drunk the water of
immortality.
Gifts are great, meditations and religious exercises
pacify the heart, comprehension of the truth leads to Nirvana - but greater than all is
"loving-kindness". As the light of the moon is
sixteen times stronger than the light of all the stars, so is loving-kindness sixteen
times more efficacious in liberating the heart than all other religious accomplishments
taken together. This state of hearts is best in the world. Let a man remain steadfast in
it while he is awake, whether he is standing, walking, sitting, or lying down.
The world exists because of causal
actions, all things are produced by causal actions and all beings are
governed and bound by causal actions.

Dhammapada
The path of Virtue
The way of Truth
We are what we think.
Everything that happens arises with our
thoughts,
With our thoughts we make the world.
Speak or act with a pure mind,
And hapiness will follow you
As your shadow, unshakable.
Hate never dispelled hate,
Only Love dispels hates.
This is the Law, ancient and inexhaustible.
Your worst enemy cannot harm you
As much as your own thoughts, unguarded.
Look not for recognition,
But follow the awakened and set yourself free.
It is better to conquer yourself
Than to win a thousand battles.
Master yourself according to the Law,
This is the simple teaching of the awakened.
It is you who must make the effort,
The masters only point the way.
Do not turn away from what is given to you,
Nor reach out for what is given to others.
